I was able to find out about this stunning place after attending an event here for Glamit in association with CHI. I was asked to be a hair model for the day and having to arrive hours before the event to prep my hair allowed for me and my boyfriend to explore the place a little.
The spa area specifically, was where the event was held. There is an upstairs floor where all the good stuff happen (spa treatments) and downstairs is an indoor pool with picturesque views of the vineyard. The jacuzzi tub is also situated on the ground floor where there is a small gym, restrooms and a dining area with a patio which is where we got treated to some delicious bites.
After having our hair styled, we got to mingle whilst enjoying a light lunch based on the concept of eating from what the earth provides (essentially healthy and wholesome foods) as the chef prepared things such as goats milk cream cheese, fried baby carrots topped with edible soil and cress. Every single thing that I tasted was ticking all the right boxes for me and I’m hoping that if I return to Lanzerac one day, that the same chef will still be there because the things he made were delicious.
This space is so beautiful and really easy on the eye with its mixed modern decor and its tranquil and pleasant atmosphere situated in Stellenbosch. I wish I had more time to actually see the rest of the place and maybe sit down and enjoy the space but I had to run off to another commitment I had on that same day. I think Lanzerac is an ideal spot for lunch in both Winter and Summer.
