How to Stay Motivated

What a wild industry I have found myself apart of. I often find myself pondering on how crazy the lifestyle of a blogger actually is and I have not even reached my peak yet which scares a little bit just knowing it will only get much crazier. I’m sitting here listening to the sound track of Everything, Everything which I watched about two weeks ago. What a beautiful movie – it was romantic and touching.

Back to my life. I have had this vision of being an entrepreneur since forever and as I get older, this fear of being successful haunts me. I researched it and its actually a real thing. I’m not sure what it is but just the thought of having my own business excites me to the core but at the same time it gives me a deep rooted feeling of anxiety and so I always end up putting things off and it continues to be just a ‘dream’ as most would call it. I have decided that there is no need to be afraid of your dreams even if they seem unrealistic, that is why we need to start with small steps to reach it.

I have this everyday battle with myself as I force myself to try and work on myself. Even if its the smallest thing such as eating correctly or reading a book. We don’t always see it but the smallest things can have the greatest impact. So that is why I try and start small, everyday I try and think of ways to better myself or my career. Just by having the idea and vision is a start, so if you feel like you’re not getting anywhere or moving forward its probably because you’re not doing anything about it. Do not expect ideas to turn into achievements. You need to put in the work. This means you need to get your mind right by establishing your goal or goals and then understanding what you need to do to achieve them and how much work you need to put in. It is never a bad to idea to put in that extra bit of work, trust me it is so much more beneficial and not to mention satisfying.

So here I am with a handful of dreams waiting to materialize as I simultaneously try to get my bearings in the fashion and media world. It scares me but life is about challenges and taking risks. So as I continue to work on myself I find it important for me to surround myself with people who want to achieve great things too and who support me. I encourage you to start motivating yourself even when it feels like nobody else is standing by you. So from this moment on, I dare you to tackle your dreams, put in the work, and very soon you will see yourself rolling in success.
