Embroided Flowers

by

Its funny how fashion is a constant cycle of reinvention. Many years ago I never thought I would find myself wearing “embroidery” because this is what we would call “outyds” meaning old fashioned. My grandmother’s closet consisted of an adequate amount of embroided pieces which I thought, at the time, was horrible and looking back now I realize what real treasures my grandmother had. I regret not keeping more of her belongings because like I said, fashion trends always make a comeback. I was too young to know any better.

Embroided flowers has been  major hit this season as it has found itself on shirts, tops, dresses, bodysuits, jeans, and even shoes. I am a major fan as you will see in the images below how I style this embroided sleeve top. You cannnot go wrong with dusty pink, and with the army green and maroon details makes it perfect for winter. I decided to wear this slip dress over the top to make the colours of the flowers stand out and because I’m so tired of wearing pants. Wearing a dress in winter is probably not a good idea so I’d say throw on a longer length skirt or a pair of mom jeans with some funky ankle boots.
